Selling a product or service online is not easy and it never has been. It isn’t just the poor economy right now that is making it difficult for people to make a purchase. There are plenty of people who still don’t trust the web and the people who work on it.
Many people, especially those who are a little older, will not give out their credit card number online for fear of identity theft. One way to make sure you have online credibility is to partake only in email opt in marketing.

You need to develop a strong marketing email list to begin bringing people to your site.
A marketing email list can be tricky business. You can take the easy route and just buy a random list of email addresses. If you shoot enough arrows, eventually you will hit a target, but that kind of marketing isn’t good for anyone. It gives your company a bad name and annoys the customer before they even see your product. The best kind of list is one that is developed via opt-in techniques, meaning that the leads stated they wanted to receive your emails and are interested in your product.
